Whether you are hanging out on the beaches in Southern Pinellas County or planning a special party/event at home or at any of the many public venues available in the area, Grillin N Chillin will provide a food experience your guests will be talking about for a long time. Our chef and grill master, Jay Bowrey, smokes a variety of meats using his special blend of spices and pairs the meat selections with home-style sides. People come from all over to enjoy our delicious food. Our restaurant is located at 6708 Gulf Blvd in St Pete Beach. Jay partners with local resorts and bars that don’t have full kitchens so the guests can enjoy great food without leaving their favorite spot on the beach. Grillin N Chillin will also bring our great food to your event with our full catering services.
Jason Bowrey was born and raised in NY and came to the St Petersburg area after college. He can’t remember a time that he wasn’t grilling, cooking, and perfecting his special “21 Spice Rub” which has become his signature flavor. In May 2014, Jay decided to open Grillin N Chillin Catering Inc and hasn’t looked back. In the fall of 2019, we opened our store on St Pete Beach and are now able to offer eat-in and walk-up/take-out in our own place. But no matter where you enjoy our food, it’s ALWAYS about the food! Jay says, “It’s always amazing to witness the look of delight on people’s faces when they experience my food. My dream is to put that look and delight on as many faces as possible! I am dedicated to grilling or smoking my food to perfection and I take pride in making sure my customers are truly satisfied. If I can accomplish that, then my dream has come true!”
With Grillin N Chillin, our smoked meats are the star of the show! Jay chooses the best cuts and has created the best rubs and marinates for his meat dishes to make them insanely popular with our guests. But don’t worry, we also serve Mac N Cheese that would make a Southern Granny jealous. Jay has his own special take on our Power Greens to make them vegetarian, healthy, and delicious. And our Beans are rich and delicious and a complement to any plate.
This dish is just too good to save until March! Jay slowly smokes this beef until it melts in your mouth and with the unique flavor of corned beef, we all love. A must-try when it's on our menu!
You would have to go to Jamaica to get better jerk chicken than this. Just the right spices with the heat we love. Ya Mon, this chicken is legit!
This pulled pork is the best in Tampa Bay and the meat brings customers from miles around. Try it with some of Jay's Sweet Heat sauce!
Our ribs are rubbed with Jay's special 21 Spice Rub and then slow-smoked to perfection. Sauce? We leave that up to our guests!
Jay's smoked beef brisket is one of our most popular items. With Jay's unique flavor and mouth-watering tenderness, you will not be disappointed with this choice!
Sometimes a simple grilled chicken, lightly seasoned, browned on the outside, moist and tender on the inside is a great choice.
If you plan to enjoy our great barbecue while at one of our locations on the beach, you will enjoy a selection of at least 2 of Jay’s great meats along with our famous Mac N Cheese, our Power Greens, and Jay’s special recipe beans. Our sides are vegetarian friendly too. We do serve buns, but many of our guests prefer to eat our special smoked meats without the bun!
